A guide to choosing apps and websites to block on Jomo

This guide will provide a brief overview of how to choose apps and websites to block on Jomo, as well as some troubleshooting tips for common issues.

What apps/websites are included in the list?

When it comes to selecting apps and websites to block on Jomo, it's important to understand that the list of apps and websites is generated by Apple. This means that Jomo has no control over what is included in this list. However, the list should contain all the apps installed on your phone, as well as websites you frequently visit.

Apps and websites are categorized by Apple. Jomo has no control over this categorization. You need to expand the categories to find specific apps and websites. For example, Instagram will be listed under the "Social" category.

If you encounter an issue where you can't expand the "Other" category, don't worry! This bug is known and is currently being investigated by Apple.

Blocklist vs. Whitelist

Jomo offers two different modes for selecting blocked content:
In blocklist mode, only selected apps and websites will be blocked.
In whitelist mode, all apps and websites will be blocked except for the ones you select.

How many apps/websites can I add?

In blocklist mode, you can block as many categories as you want. However, you can only block 49 individual apps and 49 individual websites, this limit is enforced by Apple. In whitelist mode, the limit of 49 individual apps and 49 individual websites also applies. Note that when selecting a category in whitelist mode, all individual apps and websites contained in this category are counted (this is not the case in blocklist mode).
