I can't uninstall any app on my iPhone/iPad, why is that?

In this article, you’ll find all the useful information you need if you can no longer delete apps from your iPhone after installing Jomo. We recommend taking your time and carefully following the instructions.

Why Can’t I Delete Apps Anymore?

This option is only enabled if you added Strict Mode to one of your rules, whether active or inactive. This protection mainly prevents Jomo from being deleted from your iPhone. However, this filter applies to all installed apps. This behavior is common to ALL screen time apps.

How Can I Delete Apps?

  1. Wait until Strict Mode is no longer active.
  2. Turn off Strict Mode.

How to Remove This Protection?

  1. Open Jomo.
  2. Tap the rule where you want to apply Strict Mode.
  3. Turn on Strict Mode.
  4. Tap Prevent, then uncheck Uninstalling Jomo and other apps.

In the spirit of transparency, every sensitive or critical action in Jomo is preceded by a warning. Please read it before continuing to avoid any issues.

What Should I Do If I Can’t Delete Apps Even Though I Have NO Rules in Jomo?

In Jomo, if you no longer have any Rules, this protection cannot be active. Please check that you don’t have another screen time app installed that applies this behavior by default without warning you. If that’s the case, this is not a Jomo bug, but an option that needs to be removed in that app. Please contact their customer support.
