Some apps are not blocked by Jomo

Some apps aren't blocked by Jomo? We are here to help!

If you're having trouble blocking specific apps on your iPhone/iPad with Jomo and have already done the following:
Ensured that you've selected the apps correctly.
Confirmed that your rule is displayed as "Blocking" in Jomo.
Force restarted your phone and reconnected Jomo to Apple's Screen Time.

Next, follow the additional troubleshooting steps below.

☑️ 1. Unselect then reselect stuck apps in Jomo

Open Jomo and go to the Rules tab.
Tap on your rule card, then select Apps & Websites.
In the app picker, unselect and then reselect all the chosen apps and websites, then tap Save.
Save your rule, then check if the apps are being blocked correctly. If that's still not the case, try step 2 below.

✅ 2. Unselect then reselect stuck apps in "Always Allowed"

Open the Settings app and go to Screen Time.
Tap on Always Allowed.
Add apps for which blocking does not work to the list of always allowed apps.
Go back to the previous screen then close the Settings app.
Open Settings again and go to Screen Time > Always Allowed.
Remove the problematic apps from the list.
Go back to the previous screen then close the Settings app.
Now, go check if apps are correctly blocked by Jomo. Resetting and restarting your phone might help (see step 1 and 3 in this article).
