One or more popular apps (Messenger, Facebook, etc.) are blocked by Jomo but I have never selected them!

You haven’t selected apps like Messenger, Facebook, or Spotify in Jomo, yet they’re still being blocked. That’s because a URL associated with one of those apps was blocked.

(Blocklist) Check what’s being blocked

  1. Open Jomo > Rules.
  2. Open your active rules.
  3. Make sure only apps are selected.

Avoid selecting links like: facebook.com, mfacebook.com, messenger.com. This can cause issues with Messenger or WhatsApp.

(Whitelist) Exclude links from being blocked

  1. Open Jomo > Rules.
  2. Open your active rules.
  3. Add the links related to the app that was mistakenly blocked (for example, for Messenger: mfacebook.com, messenger.com, …)

I still want to block these sites

If you want to block sites like facebook.com without interfering with other Meta apps (Messenger, etc.), follow these steps:

  1. Open Jomo > Rules.
  2. Tap the rule card of your choice.
  3. On the rule detail screen, tap the Block section.
  4. In that screen, tap Additional Options & Websites at the bottom.
  5. Type the website URL manually, then tap Add.

Using this method for blocking websites won’t cause any issues with related apps.
