Application selector keeps crashing? We're here to help.

This screen is developed by Apple and presents certain instabilities (frequent crashes, inability to consult a category, empty lists...). We've reported this technical problem and are waiting for a fix from them, but in the meantime we've found (thanks to our research and our community) several solutions. This problem is common to all screen time applications, as this is an Apple-supplied screen.

🔌 Reconnecting Jomo to Screen Time

The link between Jomo and Apple's Screen Time might stop working properly. The best solution is to restart the connection.

Open this link from your phone
When Jomo asks for authorization to access Screen Time, press “Continue”, then “Authorize”.
Check that the selector is now working properly

✂️ Copy and paste the entire app/website name from Notes

As far as we know, the picker crashes when too many results appear at once. If you can't select an app or website because the picker crashes as you type, try this:

Open the Notes app on your iPhone/iPad.
Type the app or site name.
Copy it.
Return to Jomo.
Paste the copied text into the selector.
The app or site should now appear without crashing.

🎙️ Use voice dictation

If typing completely crashes the selector, favor voice dictation to find the application of your choice. Please note, to benefit from the search bar, your device must be running iOS 16.4 minimum.

Press the 🎙️ icon in the search bar
Enter the name of the desired application or site
Select the app or site from the results





🛠️ The 🎙️ icon doesn't appear? Remember to activate voice dictation from your iPhone settings. To do so, open Settings > General > Keyboard > Activate dictation.
