Estimated screen time is incorrect

Jomo uses two methods to calculate screen time:

⚙️ Estimated Screen Time

This is the total time spent on apps, based on data from Apple Screen Time.

🍎 Apple Screen Time

This is the raw screen time directly sent by Apple’s Screen Time feature. It’s calculated and managed by Apple.

Why does Jomo need estimated screen time?

For privacy and security reasons, Apple doesn't allow access to Screen Time data in certain cases (like widgets), or the data isn't accurate enough for some features (like Squad or Limits).

Why is my estimated time HIGHER than my actual time?

Multiple devices (like iPad or Mac) may be included in the estimation.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Screen Time.
  3. Turn off Share Across Devices.

Please note that changes will take effect tomorrow. You can still adjust today's estimate by going to Jomo > Home > > More > Estimated Screen Time.

If the issue persists even after turning this off.

We recommend fully disabling Screen Time on your other devices (especially your Mac), except for the iPhone linked to Jomo.

  1. Open Settings / System Settings.
  2. Go to Screen Time.
  3. Tap Turn Off App and Website Activity.

Why is my estimated time LOWER than my actual time?

There might be a slowdown or technical issue in the calculation system.

  1. Open Jomo.
  2. Go to Home > > More > Estimated Screen Time.
  3. Tap Refresh Today’s Estimation.
  4. Tap Refresh Estimated Time Spent on Excluded Apps.

⚠️ No need to tap 20 times on the button. The calculation process takes a bit of time to restart. Too many rapid requests can cause Jomo to crash.

Still not working?

We recommend re-pairing Jomo with Screen Time.

  1. Open this link on your iPhone.
  2. When Jomo asks, accept the permission.
