[Mac App] How to block websites on Firefox using Jomo Mac?

Firefox is not compatible with the blocking technology used in the Mac version of Jomo by default, so these two steps are necessary to enable it.

⚙️ Installation steps

Open the link on your Mac. A panel will open. Then, click Save.

Install the Jomo companion extension for Firefox.

That’s it! The websites you’ve blocked in Jomo Mac will now be blocked on Firefox.

🛠️ Not working?

Try these steps if websites aren’t blocked on Firefox. If they don’t work, contact us for help.

Restart Firefox.
In Firefox, go to about:addons. From the side panel, click Extensions and select Jomo Companion from the list. Verify that all permissions are granted for Jomo.
Verify that a file named com.jomo.Jomo.json is present in /Users/{your_user_name}/Library/Application Support/Mozilla/NativeMessagingHosts/. It is very important that the file is located in the NativeMessagingHosts folder. If this folder does not exist, create it manually and copy the file there.
Ensure you are using the latest version of Jomo for Mac, available on the Mac App Store.
Restart your Mac.
