[Mac App] How to block an app on Mac using Jomo?
On Jomo Mac, you can block apps, keywords, or websites. With just a few clicks, you can take back control of your devices.
On Jomo, you can block any installed app (from your browser or the App Store). Just create a blocking rule:
Open Jomo by clicking the icon in your Mac's menu bar, then select Open Jomo.
Click New Rule at the bottom of the screen.
Choose your preferred rule, then select Apps & Websites.
Tap Apps.
On the new screen, tap + Add.
Select the app from your Applications folder, then click Open.
Confirm by clicking Save, complete your rule setup, and you’re done!
To block a game installed via Steam, EA App, or Epic Games, the steps might vary slightly depending on the game.
After creating a new rule:
Tap on Apps & Websites.
Click on + Add.
If the game is available through EA App or Epic Games, you can directly search for the game’s name in the apps, select it, and block it.
The game is located here: Macintosh HD/Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/{Game Folder}, but finding it can be a bit tricky! Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through it.
First step: If the Library folder isn’t visible when you go to Macintosh HD/Users/{username}, you’ll need to make it appear. To do this, click on ..., then in the pop-up window, check Show Library Folder.
Then, to find the game, you’ll click on Library > Application Support > Steam > steamapps > common. There, you’ll see all the folders with your installed games. Click on the game you want to block, then select the icon.
