I can't uninstall any app on my iPhone/iPad, why is that?

You wanted to uninstall an app, but this option is no longer available? We're here to help.

You were cleaning up your phone when you discovered that you could no longer uninstall an app from your device.
Don't panic, it's a Strict Mode security, applied to one of your blocking rules.

🤔 Why does Strict Mode prevent me from deleting my apps?

At Jomo, we don't do anything without your consent. When you added this rule, along with Strict Mode, we sent back an alert to warn you that app deletion would no longer be possible. Didn't you see it?

Ideally, we too would prefer to prevent only Jomo from being uninstalled, but this is not possible due to technical limitations. We hope Apple will give us this option in the future.

❌ How do I remove this option?

Don't want Strict Mode to protect you from app deletion? Don't worry, this option is optional. To disable it you need to wait until it's finished.

Open your blocking rule by clicking on it, or create a new one.
Activate Strict Mode, then in the dedicated window, scroll down to find the “More” section.
Press on the section, then uncheck “Prevent apps from being deleted”.
Confirm!

🗑️ How can I still uninstall my apps?

If you don't have a very long rule, we suggest you wait until the end of the rule before cleaning up. On the other hand, if your rule is set to last for days, you can always delete your blocking rule.
