I can't uninstall any app on my iPhone/iPad, why is that?
If you’ve recently enabled a rule in Strict Mode with Jomo, it prevents you from deleting apps on your iPhone by default. This is a safeguard to prevent Jomo from being deleted. Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t allow us to block only the deletion of Jomo, so this behavior applies to all installed apps. You can remove this protection if needed.

How can I delete my apps?
- Wait until the rule ends
- Disable Strict Mode
How do I remove this protection when applying Strict Mode?
- Open Jomo
- Open the detail screen for the rule in question
- Tap Strict Mode
- Tap Protections, then uncheck
Lock uninstalling Jomo and other apps.
A quick tip to avoid this in the future
Read the alert that appears when Strict Mode is activated. If it mentions that you won't be able to uninstall apps then the uninstall protection for Strict Mode is on.

I no longer have any rules in Jomo, but I still can’t delete apps
Have you installed multiple screen time apps alongside Jomo? That’s very likely the reason.
Some apps apply this restriction by default and without notifying you. The result? It creates a conflict with Jomo and makes it seem like there’s a bug, when that’s not the case. 🤷♀️
- If this applies to you, please check all your screen time apps and disable this protection in those services.
- If you can’t find the option, don’t hesitate to contact their customer support (if they have one) and follow the steps they provide.
