How to set a daily screen time goal?

The Screen Time Goal is a guide to help you gradually reduce your phone usage. It’s only indicative—think of it as a gentle reminder. It will never block access to your phone or any installed apps. If your apps are blocked, please check your rules in the Rules section.

How can I set a Screen Time Goal?

  1. Open Jomo > Home.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap Daily Goal.
  4. Tap an existing goal to edit it / Tap Add to create a new one.

Note: You can set multiple goals (as long as they don’t overlap). For example, 2h30 on weekdays and 3h30 on weekends.

How can I delete a Screen Time Goal?

  1. Open Jomo > Home.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap Daily Goal.
  4. Tap your goal, then tap Delete.

I’m lost. What budget should I set?

To make it easier to stick with your goal, we suggest choosing a reasonable value that’s not too far from your current usage. The idea is to reduce it gradually until you reach a level you're happy with. For example, you can start by lowering it by 15 to 30 minutes per day in the first week. Then by 1 hour the next week, and so on.

How can I tell if I’m close to or have exceeded my budget?

You’ve got two options

  1. Add the budget widget to your home screen.
  2. Turn on notifications.

To enable notifications

  1. Open Jomo > Home.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap Daily Goal.
  4. Under "Before reaching goal" & "Every", tap + to change the value and enable notifications.

Note: To turn off notifications, simply set the value to 0 (= No).
