How To Unblock / Block Apps With a Nfc Tag?
In this article, you’ll find everything you need to know about blocking or unblocking content using an NFC tag with Jomo. This is a great feature if you want to physically separate distractions (for example, keeping distracting apps at home while you’re at work, or work apps at the office when you’re at home). We recommend taking your time and carefully following the instructions.

How do I know if my NFC tag is compatible?
An NFC (Near Field Communication) tag is a small electronic device that can store data and be read by compatible devices. These tags are available in many formats and price ranges. Only NFC tags labeled NTAG215 are compatible with Jomo.

How do I pair my NFC tag with Jomo?
To unlock apps:
- Open Jomo, then go to Rules.
- Tap Start blocking.
- Select Complete habits.
- In Unblock, choose the apps you want to unlock.
- In After, tap Add a habit to complete.
- On the next screen, select Scan NFC Tag (at the bottom).
- Link your NFC tag.
- In Active, choose the frequency.
- Confirm by tapping Schedule.

As an Unlock action:
- Open Jomo, then go to Rules.
- Tap Start blocking ▸ Create a schedule or open your existing Session.
- Tap Unlocks, then Wait to unblock.
- On the next screen, tap Scan, then select NFC.
- Confirm by tapping Schedule.
