# What is Strict Mode?

In this article, you’ll find all the useful information you need about Strict Mode: its features, protections, and how to manage it once it’s been added. We recommend taking your time and carefully following the instructions.

## ${color}[#000000](**What Does Strict Mode Include?**)

**Strict Mode allows you to:**

1. Prevent the rule from being **deleted**.
2. Prevent **any changes** to the rule.
3. Prevent Jomo from being **uninstalled**.
4. Prevent changes to your iPhone’s date and time.

In general, Strict Mode offers several settings designed to prevent “cheating” and bypassing the block.

## ${color}[#000000](**Different Modes**)

1. **For a set time:** Prevent any changes for a set number of hours after the rule starts.
2. **During the session / After limit is reached:** Prevent any changes during the session or after the limit has been reached.
3. **Always-On:** Prevent any changes until you retype a random code or enter a password.
4. **On a time range:** Prevent any changes every day, or on selected days, from one time to another.

## ${color}[#000000](**How to Enable Strict Mode?**)

**Here’s how to apply it to a rule:**

1. Open the **Jomo** app.
2. Add a rule or open an existing rule.
3. At the bottom, turn on **Strict Mode**.
4. Choose the mode that works best for you.
5. Add or save your rule.

Please make sure that the block works correctly, that the content being blocked is the right content, and that the settings match what you want **before enabling Strict Mode.**
