In this article, we’ll show you how to set up Jomo so you can block Instagram or Facebook while still using Meta’s Muse AI app. Please follow the instructions carefully. ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/3/2/1/9/3219039fc179d800/english_qaj9fj.png =600xauto) --- # **Why Isn’t It Working Properly?** For reasons beyond our control, blocking Instagram or Facebook also blocks access to Meta’s Muse app. We understand that this can be inconvenient. We’ve reported the bug to Apple so they can fix it as soon as possible. # **How Can I Block Facebook (or Instagram)?** For this specific situation, we have an alternative method that lets you keep access to Muse while blocking Instagram or Facebook. Please read and follow the instructions carefully. **How it works:** We’ll create a Session in Jomo. It will __**NOT block the apps**____.__ In Shortcuts, we’ll set up an automation that redirects you to Jomo whenever you open Facebook or Instagram. However, when choosing the content to block, __**DO NOT**__ **SELECT these apps**. Instead, select a random website from the list, ideally one you never visit. To do this: 1. Download the Shortcut above. 2. Tap **Add Shortcut**. 3. On Shortcuts, tap the **Block Instagram With Jomo** or **Block Facebook With Jomo** shortcut. 4. Tap **Edit** in the top-right corner. 5. In the **blue field** within the **Redirect \[…] is Blocking** action, enter the name of your Rule. **The name is case-sensitive and must match exactly, including capitalization, spaces, and punctuation.** 6. If you’d like your app to be blocked again after a specific amount of time, please add the following steps: 1. In the search bar, type and select **Wait**. **The duration is set in seconds, so you’ll need to convert it.** *FYI: 5 minutes = 300 seconds, 10 minutes = 600 seconds, and 15 minutes = 900 seconds.* 2. Press and hold the **+** button to increase the duration. 3. In the search bar, type and select **Go To Home Screen**. 4. Open **Shortcuts**. 2. Tap **Automation**, then **New Automation** (or **+** in the top-right corner). 3. Select **App** from the list. 4. Next to **App**, tap **Choose**. 5. Select **Instagram** or **Facebook**. 6. Select **Is Open**, then select **Run Immediately**. 7. Tap **Next**. 8. Tap **Create New Shortcut / New Blank Automation**. 9. In the search bar at the bottom, search for and select **Redirect To Jomo If Rule Named … Is Blocking**. 10. Enter the name of your Rule in Jomo. **The name is case-sensitive and must match exactly, including capitalization, spaces, and punctuation.** 11. Next to **When**, select **Instagram** or **Facebook** from the list. 7. Make sure **Is Opened** is selected. 8. In the search bar at the bottom, search for and select **Redirect To Jomo If Rule Named … Is Blocking**. 9. Enter the name of your Rule in Jomo. **The name is case-sensitive and must match exactly, including capitalization, spaces, and punctuation.** 10.
