Apps are still blocked after I uninstalled Jomo or removed screen time permissions

We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter issues like this, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you've uninstalled Jomo or removed Screen Time permissions and find that certain apps are still blocked, you're not alone. Please know that this is a known (although rare) Apple Screen Time issue and is not specifically connected to Jomo.

Steps to Unblocking Apps

Unselect Any "Always Allowed" App

Open your iPhone Settings.
Scroll down and tap on "Screen Time."
Tap on "Always Allowed."
Make sure no app is in the "Always Allowed" list that you want unblocked.

Hard Reset Screen Time Using Jomo

Re-download the Jomo app. If you have uninstalled Jomo, reinstall it from the App Store.
Open Jomo and Reenable Screen Time Permissions. Follow the prompts to give Jomo permission to access Screen Time.
Reset the Blocking:
Navigate to the "Rules/Focus" tab.
Tap on the troubleshooting (refresh icon) located at the top-right corner.
Select "Reset blocking."

This action will attempt to reboot your Screen Time settings from scratch. After this is done, ensure you're not in any active Jomo session or condition and open any app you wish to test.

Alternative Method

If the initial steps did not resolve your issue, you can try the following:

Start a New Session in Jomo

Open the Jomo app.
Navigate to "Rules/Focus" > "Sessions."
Tap the "+" symbol to start a new blocking session.

Delete the Session

Locate the session you just created.
Tap on it to open the detail screen.
Scroll down and tap "Delete session".

Your apps should now be unblocked.
